Maine Coon Cat!!

We just got back from driving to Lewiston to pick up our FREE Maine Coon Cat!
These are $700 cats...he needed a new home, so we adopted him.
He is so beautiful, I can hardly stand it.
Grey, long hair and SO BIG!
I will post a picture tomorrow.
He is so sweet.
And we just realized that he was born right around the time we met (online).
Aaaaaw! How cute is that??
And the name his owners gave him was Rocko, which we like just fine and will keep.
With a slight alteration...see, my wit still surfaces once in a while and here's what tumbled out of my mouth, "B. Rocko Bama"!!!!!

And I just read that they don't stop growing until they are 3 or 4 years old!!
He's 10 months old and already bigger than our full grown cats...can't wait to see how big he gets.
He's so beautiful!!

I'm a cat-dog person. Always seem to be trying to claw or bite the shit out of myself...

Hi,

He looks so much like my cat, Sissy did. I miss her. I hope to see more pictures.

She got to be about 10 pounds. I just posted a photo of a painting I did of her brother, Pepper. He wieghed 20 pounds at full growth and could stretch from the floor to my chest!

You're going to love him, I'm sure. Our two were free as well. Some friends gave them to us.

Have fun!

Brian

Hell yeah, Shar!! He is my little sweetie. All the kids keep trying to win his affection, but so far, I'm his favorite. hooray!!

Welcome, Jerry, welcome. We all wander away from blogging from time to time, and I have every faith that you'll be back. It's so much harder to maintain a fun-and-entertaining blog when there are such difficult things going on in your life--i should know! :)

Well I don't know what led you to my site, Brian, but I'm so glad you stopped by! I grew up in Rockland, just moved back here from 15 years in Utah, and it is staggeringly cool to have had my new cat introduce me to such a talented artist as yourself. My boyfriend and I were just soaking up your whole online collection--he grew up on the corner of Otis and...I forget...and was ecstatic to see his neighborhood turned into art. He is a photographer, I am a writer, and your work just really speaks to both of us.

D-man, you are a superhero, no doubt. :D
